“Carte Generale des Costes de l’Europe sur l’Ocean Comprises depuis Dronthem en Norvege Jusques au Destroit de Gibraltar”. The Atlantic coast including the British Isles. Engraved chart, printed from 2 plates on 2 sheets joined, in full original wash colour from Le Neptune Francois, Pieter Mortier, Amsterdam 1693. (PM) 59 x 85,5 cm.

Despite the addition “Levée et Gravée par Ordre du Roy à Paris 1693”to the title of the map the map was printed in Amsterdam. - Full impression of the plate on strong Dutch laid paper with original margins at all sides. Full original wash colour. Slight offsetting of Green to the left hand side of the map. But no breaking through of outlines or of areas coloured in Green! – A very well preserved copy. Examples in full original colour are scarce, whereas copies in outline colour can frequently be found.
